There's a national emergency in child and adolescent mental health, according to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and it's never been greater or more urgent. As the leading provider of behavioral and mental health services for children, Invo Healthcare has been partnering with school districts around the country to develop sustainable, result-focused solutions that address the most challenging needs of students, teachers and administrators. As many of our district partners are utilizing the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) beyond the autism spectrum, to support students with a far broader range of developmental, emotional and behavioral challenges, we developed this glossary to help educators and administrators understand some of the foundational elements and terminology of Applied Behavior Analysis.

As more districts look to ABA to support even more students, we hope this glossary helps provide a better understanding of the principles of ABA and how they may be effective in addressing some of the current challenges our students are facing.
